Pursuit

Published by Sanket Rathod under , , , , , , , on Monday, April 30, 2007

I shut myself.
The least I can help
My poor little mind.
Solace, it finds, confined.

I lock the door,
With locks five or four.
I leave a window ajar,
To world, outside yet far.

I peep outside,
Past late at night
And attempt to interact
With silence in fact.

And then I smile,
With world reconcile.
There's a glowing light
Far, yet in sight.

I'm not alone
To darkness prone.
There are others too
In dark, who, light pursue.

My Life

Published by Sanket Rathod under , , on Saturday, April 21, 2007

A moment at a time
A lifetime I live out
For tomorrow I wait
When I meet my life

Tomorrow reveals itself
Unleashing mist and fog
Hiding my way from me
Fencing me from my life

A step at a time
Towards my life I trot
Though unclear is the path
I see her not so far

Where will she lead me?
Where will I lead us?
My life still lies in fog
But hand in hand we’ll walk

half past noon heat

Published by Sanket Rathod under , , , on Monday, April 16, 2007

It's making my mind race
This half past noon heat
It's making my eyes shut and open
And slowly I'm starting to like it

My thoughts stray into dreams
That, watch at day, I dont dare to
And the sweat on my chest
Is trickling down where I want you

Please hold your scarf steady
Don't once let it slide down
To reveal underneath the skin sweaty
Turning in the heat from peach to brown

It's making my hands race
This half past noon heat
It's making your eyes shut and open
And slowly you're starting to like it

Too Big to Believe

Published by Sanket Rathod under , on Monday, April 09, 2007

The world is too big to believe.
I think it ends there,
At that tree,
The last one that I see.
And that bend
Seems the gate of the world.
That's where I came from,
Doesn't matter where from.
And through it I'll go out,
Doesn't matter where to.

The world is too big to believe.
I think it ends there,
At that piece of land,
Where the end of my shadow falls.
And beyond it
Lies a world all unknown.
I know I haven't come from,
Then why must it matter to me.
I know I won't even go to,
Then why must it matter at all.

I & Sky

Published by Sanket Rathod under , , on Sunday, April 01, 2007

In my heart
I feel it strong
In my mind
I know it's wrong

Atop a cliff
I'm standing staring down
Whisper of wind
Is the only sound

If I jump
I think I'll fly
But that's not
Quite acceptable to sky

Hero

Published by Sanket Rathod under , , , on Sunday, April 01, 2007

I looked into his face
My end's, my destruction's
Didn't move an inch
Looked right into his eyes

Yes I was a hero

I was afraid
And frozen in fear
Too weak to step up and fight
He missed his aim

Yes I was a hero

I do it everyday
Consruct my destruction
Then face it again
And if I survive

I am a hero

And If he misses

I am a hero
